Sobre nosotros

We are a private relief organization registered in Germany, the Gambia and the UK. Donations allow us to help children in the Gambia to receive education, to build new schools and to renovate existing ones.

The Gambia is one of the poorest countries in the world and does not have compulsory school attendance. In order for their children to attend school, parents have to buy uniforms, books etc., which means that education is only for the privileged. Many children, however, come from very poor backgrounds, so they do not have this opportunity which they would dearly like.

We are of the conviction that everyone has the right to such elementary things as clean water, basic medical care and education.

We help in the remotest villages of this country. Thanks to donations, we are able to buy tools and building materials, among other things. Where possible, we acquire everything necessary locally. Thus we can account for all our expenditure.

We personally monitor building progress regularly and at short intervals right up to completion. Only then do we start a new project. This means that we can keep track of our activities and their results.

We send school materials and other aid to the Gambia whenever we can. These relief supplies are shipped to the Gambia in containers. From there they have to be transported to their destination by truck and/or boat. This transport is an enormous cost factor for us. Along with various items of school furniture we have found space for everyday items such as sewing machines, toys, bicycles and much more.

Gerhard Riebock is the president of the society.

On request we can offer other net participants advice, give an expert opinion and up-to-date expert information. We can give presentations or lectures, and provide contacts in the field of our work.
