About us

In 1997, Gary and Ruth Namie began the research and education organization that became the Workplace Bullying Institute based in Bellingham, Washington. The Namies established the only U.S. bullying telephone crisisline helping over 5000 individuals.

In 2002, the Campaign against workplace bullying became the Workplace Bullying Institute (WBI) to better reflect the research contribution made to the international fight against workplace bullying.

WBI is the only United States organization dedicated to the eradication of workplace bullying that combines help for individuals, research, public education, consulting for employers, and legislative advocacy
The WBI mission is to raise awareness of, and create a public dialogue about Workplace Bullying. To apply research, empirical and anecdotal, to solutions for individuals, unions, employers and public policy makers.

We offer:

• Telephone counseling/coaching
• Free info from the American experts
• Speeches & training for groups
• Training for unions
• Consulting solutions for employers
• Intensive training for professionals
• WBI Legislative Campaign to enact laws
• Expert witness for lawsuits

Gary Namie is the director of the WBI.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
