Qui sommes-nous

The association "Universitas im Bauernhaus Gossberg" maintains an international educational establishment and meeting place in the field of socioculture and environment in the country.

In cooperation with schools and universities, associations of nature conservation (BUND Sachsen), formation of the environment (ANU Sachsen) and youth welfare work (AGJF Sachsen, Sächsische Landjugend = young rural population of Saxon) events take place referring to the most different fields of interest: seminars (voluntary ecological year, documentary film, forestry, economy, ecology etc.), further education in the youth welfare work, art, body training and emotional training, project days for pupils, meeting and study weeks for young persons take place.

Cultural offers, such as film workshops and performances, music workshops, farm festivals, international cultural days (India, France etc.) are developed for the region.

Young offenders are kept busy and socially taken care of in cooperation with the juvenile court assistance

An old half-timbered farmhouse, the rooms of which are furnished with rustic pieces of furniture for overnight stays, interesting learning aids and places, a welcoming place for sound eating and drinking, a gardener's courtyard, a permacultural project with animal, forest and DENK MAL GARTEN (THINK-ONCE-GARDEN), ecological demonstration objects, such as a "root room" clarification plant, a compost toilet and insect houses belong to the association. A summer kitchen as well as an adventure playground (tipis, fireplace, caravans) are available in particular for the children's and youth welfare work.

We can give expert advice, give a lecture and arrange for contacts in the fields of theology, ecology, formation of the environment, permaculture and ecological horticulture. Moreover, we offer an ecolocically oriented educational establishment: food, overnight accommodation and rooms for events.
