Qui sommes-nous

Founded in 1993, the Marion Institute is a member based non-profit that runs a variety of projects and programs relating to environmentalism, social justice, health and healing, and spirituality.
We work with individuals, schools and communities to inspire change in the areas of health and healing, sustainability, green economics, environmental education, spirituality and much more.

The Marion Institute is dedicated to identifying, promoting and incubating programs and serendipity projects that seek to enhance life for the Earth and its inhabitants. The Marion Institute believes in the interdependence of all life and the critical balance necessary for a sustainable future.

Programs:
• Biological Medicine Network: A dynamic and living model of biological health-care. The Biological Medicine Network (BMN) was created as a program of the Marion Institute. BMN is dedicated to the vision of complete health and well being through the advancement, accessibility and widening availability of Biological Medicine.
• Cambodian Living Arts: Rebuilding a nation through the revival of Khmer performing arts and by inspiring contemporary artistic expression.
• Future Primitive: A podcasting website that presents intimate conversations with authors, visionaries and innovators from around the world.
• Gaviotas Carbon Offset Initiative: Offset your emissions and support forest restoration and the sustainable community of Las Gaviotas in Colombia.
• Green Jobs, Green Economy Initiative: By creating jobs in industries such as weatherization, farming and renewable energy we can put people back to work, strengthen communities, and reduce carbon emissions all at the same time.
• Connecting for Change: A SOLUTION based gathering that brings together a diverse audience to create deep and positive change in their communities.
• Sustainability Education Initiative: Educating local youth and the local community about the issues that affect us most – and even more importantly, the solutions we can all participate in.

The Marion Institute acts as an umbrella organization for its Serendipity Projects and programs promoting and supporting individual project leaders and organizations.
• Himalayan Project: Helping to raise critical support for the Sherpa education and the distribution of much needed fleece winter jackets.
• I Am Somebody!: We are multiplying available resources for the benefit of communities and their youth by creating a strong web of relationships.
• Mastate Charitable Foundation : Promoting education, research, community development, natural building, sustainable living and conservation in rural Costa Rica.
• Nouvelle Planète: Supports concrete projects in local communities in the Amazon Rainforest.
• Sponsored Arts For Education [S.A.F.E.]: Theatre group in Kenya promoting acceptance of HIV-positive citizens; also provides HIV/AIDS-prevention education.
• Taktse International School: Its mission is to develop a diverse community of self-motivated students and teachers.
• Two Angry Moms: A documentary film about school food: it’s not just a movie, it’s a movement
• Welcome Home Project: Its mission is to heal a cultural wound by bridging the historic and painful divide that exists between veterans (including their families) and the civilian communities in which they live.
• Yoga Kids: Children learn the self-calming, self-regulating techniques inherent in the practice of yoga and meditation.
