Protibandhi Shishu Shiekkha O Paricharja Samity (PROSHIPS) is a Non government voluntary organization in Bangladesh. PROSHIPS was established in 1998 with the initiate of group of young, educated, dedicated professional and social workers. PROSHIPS has got the recognition of its relentless efforts for enlistment of the disabled people.

Proships has been working for improving the ultimate socio economic condition of the most disadvantage destitute and disable Person at the community level at Islampur and Dewangonj Uazilla Under District of Jamalpur ,Bangladesh. Proships has been working through awareness and advocacy, health, education and rehabilitation programs for the people with disabilities in the community.

Create enabling environment for the children with disabilities and promote their rights with dignity in the community

Objectives
• To educate different stakeholders (student, local government, community people, school teacher, civil society, NGOs) on the rights of children with disabilities.
• To organize the children with disability and provide them with information and skills as needed.

Activities:
• Awareness activites with student
• Skills and Knowledgeable Parents, care givers, school teachers on disability prevailing situation.
• Advocacy with varieas institutions, community. UP members, school teachers, for successful implementation of this project.
• Linkage with health institutions
• Operating Vocational training (tailoring and Plastic Bags making)

Rafiqul Islam is the Executive Director of Protibandhi Shishu Shiekkha O Paricharja Samity (PROSHIPS).

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
