Qui sommes-nous

In 2006, 31 health systems experts from around the world gathered in Toronto to discuss the need for a global health systems network and the feasibility of its establishment. The discussion resulted in the establishment of Health Systems Action Network (HSAN), a global network of professionals in developing countries committed to strengthening health systems through effective involvement of stakeholders and improved management of resources.

HSAN´s vision is to be a leading global network facilitating the development of equitable, accountable and sustainable health systems for improved health outcomes.
HSAN provides a much needed platform for health systems stakeholders to exchange ideas and increase understanding, at both the global and country level, of strong health systems needed to achieve health priorities. HSAN shares what is known across countries by linking health systems leaders through a global network and provides a channel for members to offer input into global and donor initiatives so that programs best serve country priorities.

Overarching Goals
HSAN´s overarching goal is to enhance access to information on what strategies work in making health systems strong and to avoid duplication of efforts that have been found to be less effective in strengthening health systems.
