Zawadi Yangu Initiative (ZYI)

About us

ZAWADI YANGU INITIATIVE (ZYI) is a National non-governmental organization (NGO), independent civil society and private sector-led partnership – envisions a Tanzania where gender equality is achieved, and every girl and woman counts and is counted. The organization was founded with community members from the grass root to improve the situation for the women, youth and children from right based perspective.
The aim is to empower women, end violence against women and children and advocate for children and women rights through capacity building, lobbying, advocacy, campaigns and platforms also help them to claim their rights as formulated in the CRC (1989) and CEDAW regardless of their nationality, race, religion, sex or political preference.
The organization was officially registered on 7th October 2016. The organization is governed by annual general Meeting and Board of Directors. This structure aims at placing greater human resources closer to the communities with whom the organisation works and strengthening program and project development through team management.
ZYI is looking for partnership with your good office for the betterment of our community and organisation at large.

Musa Masongo is the Chief Executive Officer of ZAWADI YANGU INITIATIVE (ZYI).

For other net participants we can give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work. ZYI is open to work with other to achieve SDGs in our community.
