Über uns

Warm Heart, established in 2008, is a nonprofit organization. We are a group of committed people working together to bring positive change to the poor community of Phrao in the foothills of Northern Thailand.
Warm Heart Worldwide Inc. is the American nonprofit partner of the Warm Heart Foundation, a registered Thai foundation.

Mission Statement
Dedicated to finding relevant solutions to support and enable isolated Hill Tribe and Thai villages in becoming socially and economically sustainable communities.

Focus areas:
• Children: Provide a safe, loving home and education for children from families that are poor and/or broken.
• Community: Training assistance with microenterprise opportunities and entrepreneurship, care for elderly and disabled.
• Environment: Leading the way to make saving the environment profitable and sustainable.

Our work
• We serve the rural poor of the North from our headquarters in Phrao. Today, 45 kids live in our Children’s Homes and attend local schools. We sponsor another 35 at a local, government boarding school, have 6 kids away at vocational-technical high schools and 16 at university.
• Sponsor a Child program helps cover the costs of the many children that are living in the Children’s Homes,
• Our Microenterprise Project provides jobs to women’s cooperatives and has an annual turnover of more than one million baht, all reinvested in the project.
• Fashion Accessories by Warm Heart: We have trained hundreds of small farmers and last year our biochar project was recognized with a World Energy Globe Award.
• Our Project Access Wellness Program for the abandoned disabled and elderly provides weekly bathing, cleaning, cooking, errands and hospital transportation services.
• Our Environment Program addresses Climate Change, the crisis of our times, where it starts – locally – but our solutions are global. Two solid projects have emerged, “Stop the Smoke” turning agricultural waste into biochar, and “Styrofoam Bricks”, recycling styrofoam with cement. Both projects create products that are healing to the environment.

Evelind Schecter is a Co-Founder and the Director of Finance at Warm Heart Thailand.
