About us

Human Harmony Nepal (Manab sadbhav Nepal) is a non-governmental Organization created and registered with the Nepalese Government since January 2017. Human Harmony Nepal organizes community development projects that address crucial needs in disadvantaged, marginalized and rural areas in Nepal. With these projects - in which we value humanity, integrity, impartiality, empathy and respect - we work closely with communities to support women empowerment programs, teaching programs, health care programs and construction programs. Our office is located in Kathmandu and our actions and projects are covering Okharapawa VDC (Nuwakot district Basmati Zone).

Programs:
• Educational programs: Human Harmony Nepal provides teaching projects in several fields; such as teaching English or a subject (math, geography, arts, educational programs for girls, etc.). When volunteers are not in the classroom teaching, they are outside, reading, playing sports and games with the students. Most of these schools are also running quite low on infrastructure and resources: you can therefore help fill up these voids (supplying books, help refurbish the school premises, help design a proper curriculum, etc.).
• Woman empowerment programs: In order to fulfill the goal of gender equality, our Women empowerment programs aims at ensuring Nepalese women and girls awareness about their fundamental rights as a women and grand them equal opportunities with men and boys in education, employment, leadership and decision-making at all levels. You will therefore be able to help us organize awareness campaigns that you will be presenting to women living in marginalized communities.
• Construction work: The April 2015 Nepal earthquake killed nearly 9,000 people and injured nearly 22,000. It was the worst natural disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 Nepal-Bihar earthquake. Hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless with entire villages destroyed, across many districts of the country. Since Nepal has little ability to fund a major reconstruction effort on its own, our projects are focused on initiatives within our local communities, who have needs around building and renovating homes and rebuild basic infrastructure in mountain villages.
• Health programs: With or without a medical degree, you can help improve healthcare by teaching about diseases and basic every-day life gestures to adopt.
