About us

Shutaf Inclusion Programs, founded in 2007, is a non profit NGO committed to quality services for children, teens, and young adults of all abilities, regardless of labels, financial limitations, cultural and religious differences.
Shutaf Inclusion Programs in Jerusalem offers year-round activities for children, teens, and young people, with and without disabilities: Camp Shutaf Passover and Summer Sessions; Young Leadership Program for teens and young adults; 21+ at Shutaf for young people ages 21-30; Inclusion-Accelerator Workshops; Parent and family gatherings.
Shutaf is Shutaf brings together participants from a variety of backgrounds who would not typically come together in their daily lives. Shutaf programs offer a place for social engagement and collective identity in Jerusalem, a city often polarized and separated by religious and cultural differences.

Programs and workshops:
• Camp Shutaf: Inclusive 3-week Summer Day Camp. Young people enjoy a combination of activities in and out-of-camp.
• Young Leadership: This program is for teens and young adults, with and without disabilities, ages 14-21. Year-round activities include 3x weekly gatherings and Camp Shutaf Passover and Summer Camps. During camps, a group of participants work as junior counselors and specialist assistants, part of a mentored and paid vocational-work opportunity. A 3-day Passover Overnight Camp is also available to Young Leadership participants during Passover camp. Specialty Educational Units about Sexuality, Dating, and Gender Awareness; Drug and Alcohol Awareness and Safety; Self-Development and Personal Empowerment.
• 21+ at Shutaf: 21+ at Shutaf is a supportive social environment where adults can meet friends and spend time together. Shutaf Mentors are present in order assist and guide each group member in finding and establishing their independence. as well as assist the group with the skills needed to choose and plan social gatherings.
• Shutaf Inclusion Workshops: Workshops are for everyone including students and educators at all levels, camp counselors and professional staff, youth movements and gap year participants, and businesses and corporations. Workshop Topics: Exploring and Reflecting – Identifying Personal Assumptions; The Language of Inclusion – Creating a New Mindset; Access and Inclusion – The Path to Inclusive Practices.

Beth Steinberg and Miriam Avraham are both Co-Founder and Co-Director of Shutaf Inclusion Programs.
