Qui sommes-nous

Dunamis Foundation, a non-profit organization in Ecuador, was born in 2012. The Greek word “Dunamis,” meaning “power,” started in the heart of God through His servants Boris and Fernanda, who after an experience of serving a small group of three girls, helping them managing their income from the jewelry sales, knew God was calling Boris and Fernanda to serve Him in a more powerful way, by assisting more young ladies who had been victims of abandonment, abuse and even sex and labor trafficking.

Our mission
Dunamis is a non-profit organization in Quito, Ecuador serving underaged girls who have been rescued from sex trafficking and sexual abuse. We aim to teach them life skills while providing a Christ-centered environment focused on restoration to enable them to reintegrate into the world as healthy young women.

Our vision
Our vision is to be a model in Ecuador, Latin America and beyond in providing a safe place for girls who have survived sex and labor trafficking and be a tool for transformation in their lives through Jesus Christ.

Our work
Zoe’s home is a place where the girls’ health, safety and restoration are our top priorities. As a home, we will work with the psychologist to evaluate what each girl’s personal psychological needs are. We will work with a medical doctor to evaluate and care for the girls’ physical needs. We will work with a nutritionist to plan healthy meals and snacks. We will work with the lawyer to complete any legal problems the girls have and to comply with the country’s requirements. As the in-house staff, we will have two people with the girls 24 hours a day seven days a week for the staff and girls’ safety. The day will be scheduled with responsibilities and free time to help in the restoration process. The goal is to help each girl as an individual while living as a family group.
They reside in Zoe’s Home where they learn the Word of God, receive counseling and learn life skills such as sewing, beauty and tagua workshops. They also continue their education and have medical and psychological help. The young ladies are exposed to a Christ-centered holistic development program by staying there under the care of Boris, Fernanda and specialized and professional staff.
