The Epilepsy Foundation was established in 2009 as the Epilepsy Foundation of India. It began operating as the Epilepsy Foundation, formalizing the name most often used by the public in referring to the organization.
Epilepsy Foundation India is an NGO that focuses on widespread yet less known disease epilepsy. Every epileptic patient irrespective of caste, creed or strata of society receives the treatment. The message to all is 'Epilepsy is treatable if diagnosed early'.
The Foundation works to prevent, control, and cure epilepsy through community services; public education; federal and local advocacy; and supporting research into new treatments and therapies. Their team is constantly striving to ensure epilepsy patients participate in all walks of life. They work to improve how people with epilepsy are perceived, accepted and valued in society and to promote research for a cure.
The Foundation works to ensure that people with seizures have the opportunity to live their lives to their fullest potential.
Free Epilepsy Clinic has been started in 1992 with the aim of helping the poor and needy patients, suffering from epilepsy and not able to consult a doctor for a regular therapy.
The aim is to ensure the patient see the doctor irrespective if their financial conditions regularly and get the free medication if they cannot afford it.
Regular camps were done under the leadership of Dr. Nirmal Surya at various places in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, where the patients were identified and subsequently treated.

Dr. Nirmal Surya is the Founder Chairman & Trustee of Epilepsy Foundation.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
