About us

The FCZB is an innovative further education centre which has been developing and providing IT courses and advice for women from various backgrounds and living situations and with differing ambitions since 1984. With innovative occupational IT (interface) qualifications and training in media studies, we can open up future-oriented career opportunities for women and offer wider target groups access to the information society. The FCZB is sponsored by the non-profit organisation "FrauenComputerZentrumBerlin”.

Aims:
• to encourage equal opportunities for men and women and the fulfilment of the multifarious talents of every section of the population on the job market and other economic and business areas.
• to strengthen women's capacity to act individually and make their own decisions as well as increasing their chances of supporting themselves.
• to reduce discrimination against women in the job market, especially in IT or similar jobs, by offering appropriate training.
• to employ new technology to draw in wider target groups and give them access to the information society's global network and to give women, especially, a better chance of pursuing a future-oriented career.
• to increase the appreciation and integration of diversity in business and the community and strengthen the gender and cross-cultural development of individuals and organisations.

Projects:
