Qui sommes-nous

Bluepingu has been volunteering for almost 15 years with countless projects in Nuremberg and the surrounding area to drive forward the socio-ecological transformation and involve many people in the process.
As a registered, non-profit association, it is committed to a sustainable Nuremberg metropolitan region and has become an integral part of Nuremberg.
It is guided by the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
The association works tirelessly to promote sustainability and environmental protection. The approach, similar to the bottom-up approach, is to transform the city locally in order to create a society that consumes fewer resources and only uses what it is globally entitled to. The projects and actions are low-threshold, anyone can take part, even if they are not a member, and have fun transforming their environment with small things and being a part of urban society.

The variety of projects in areas such as climate protection/adaptation, resource conservation, urban gardening, education, nutrition, mobility, social interaction, etc. is remarkable.
Bluepingu gave rise to Nuremberg's oldest community garden - the Stadtgarten. The Lastenradfüralle fleet now has 14 cargo bikes that can be borrowed free of charge. The Edible City is growing and sprouting, and other urban gardening projects such as Die Wiese, Südstadtgärtla Fürth and the Schlossstraße neighborhood garden have followed suit. N.ORT Kollektiv has organized large-scale projects for several years. But Bluepingu also organizes the accompanying program for the leading trade fair BIOFACH trifft Nürnberg in order to make the content of the trade fair accessible to urban society.

The voluntary commitment is characterized by continuity, consistency as well as innovation and the testing of new approaches. We encourage and demand discourse.

By arrangement, we can conduct workshops for other net participants, organize hands-on activities, and provide up-to-date specialist information and contacts in the field of our work.
