Sobre nosotros

A better quality of life and a future through education worldwide – these are the aims of KETAAKETI, a new model of development cooperation based on mutual respect and equality of all partners.Founded by Anneli-Sofia Raecker, KETAAKETI supports the sustainable livelihood of families and the school attendance of children in poorest countries on the basis of global networking and partnership.
Self-determination, independence, dignity and sustainability are the guiding principles which are consistently implemented in this model of cooperation. Based on our ‘world family’ model of thinking and the natural inclination to share, the concept has been sustainably successful since 2007.

Concept:
• KETAAKETI establishes as well as supports local non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the poorest countries. KETAAKETI works with these NGOs on a basis of mutual respect and equality of all partners. Families are enabled to set up their own businesses through interest-free microfinancing – on the condition and with the aim that the children's school attendance is secured.
• Families are generally able to repay the microfinance within a short space of time. After that, the investment is passed on to the next family.
• Without further action from KETAAKETI, a one-time, small financial boost enables village after village and generation after generation to benefit.
• School and health support in regionally and culturally sensitive methods accompany this model.

Goals:
• Founding and support of additional native NGOs (so far in Nepal, Sierra Leone, Burundi) for the self-determined development of microfinance projects in villages and slums, in order to simultaneously enable families to start their own businesses and children to receive primary school education.
• Offering financial support as needed to enable school attendance, which will also have a preventive effect against violence, disenfranchisement of girls, child exploitation, etc, to be increasingly complemented by preventive health care.
• Expansion of networking and cooperation between NGO project leaders, sharing best practice, both within a country and across borders ("Intra-African Network"). At the same time, an expansion of the network of members, supporters and partner schools in Germany and other countries.
• Strengthening the lobby for the poorest countries and striving for global solidarity in public life and in schools.

KETAAKETI - Future Plan
Expansion of the network of the country’s own NGOs by enabling their leaders in the poorest countries to provide mutual support and advice to each other, sharing knowledge and best practice within their country as well across borders (e.g. as an "intra-African network"). At the same time, we look to expand KETAAKETI’s partner network.
KETAAKETI’s vision is to promote a voice for the poorest countries in the richest countries, so that they are given respect and treated with equality.

Anneli-Sofia Räcker is the initiator and chairwoman and Susanne im Sande is the deputy chairwoman of KETAAKETI e. V..
