About us

Elohim Development Foundation is a Nigerian based non-governmental, not for profit, human rights, peace and development organisation committed to the relief of poverty and the pursuit of well-being for vulnerable groups especially the youths and women. It was established in the year 2006.

Our objectives
• To advocate for the rights of youths and women.
• To establish youth friendly centers and encourage educational and empowerment initiatives in communities.
• To engender peace and enhance intergroup relations in a non-violent way.
• To embark on civic education, legislative advocacy on sexual and reproductive health rights.
• To partner with CSOs, private sector, government agencies, donor agencies and other international bodies in the realization of the SDGs.
• To increase access to credit and income generating opportunities for youths, women and other vulnerable groups.

Our scope
We work with youths, women and children in Nigeria with particular attention to Benue State. We offer psychosocial support services, intervene in peace building and conflict resolution, Gender Based Violence, Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management, Counseling Services, Proposal Development Design and Implementation of Programmes.

What we do
• We are the foremost organization of choice in Benue State to offer psychosocial support to survivors of Gender Based Violence, (GBV) while carrying out other interventions in the GBV sector. We work with in school and out of school youths (18 to 35yrs) in Nigeria with particular attention to the Benue youth. We offer counseling services to young people based on career choices, relationships and spiritual matters.
• We engage in the development of proposals and the design and implementation of programmes.
• We have trained Trauma Counselors who help survivors of any kind of trauma cope and eventually overcome difficult situations.
• We work in partnerships with corporate organizations, philanthropists and communities to carry out our activities.
• Counseling Services: We offer counseling services to young and vulnerable people including IDPS and refugees based on career choices, relationships and spiritual matters.
• Consultancy: Elohim Foundation also offers consultancies in conflict resolution and peace building and is represented on the Benue Women Peace Forum and Benue Early Warning team.
• Corporate Skills: Other areas of corporate skill include the packaging and management of programmes, dissemination/roundtable events.

Victoria Daor is the Executive Director of Elohim Development Foundation.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
