About us

Elohim Foundation was formerly known as The Carpenter’s Foundation International, a non for profit development organisation founded on the 13th September, 2001 in Abuja –Nigeria. It is a dream child of a physically challenged Nigerian, set out to tackle the challenges of human family preservation through socio-economic intervention.
The Foundation was registered with Cooperate Affairs Commission as a non-for profit organisation on the 29th April 2002 and has its headquarters in Abuja with two regional project offices in Owerri and Suleja.

Our vision is to attain sustainable human society.

Our mission is to provide social intervention services that addresses the challenges of sustainable human society, through people centred approaches in both urban and rural communities.

Our Goal
To contribute to the sustainability of the human community through eradication and impact mitigation of socio-economic challenges and human capacity development.

Programmes:
• Community/Public healthcare and support services: Program Objective is to provide community based public health intervention: health promotion and point of care services, while creating demand for service uptake and behaviour change towards the reduction of public health diseases among the general and key population groups.
• Child Protection & Gender development: Program Objective is to provide child focused family based interventions in promotion of a safe environment for the comprehensive development and wellbeing of vulnerable children in households, in the best interest of the child and gender mainstreaming.
• Community Health Insurance Scheme: Program Objective is to partner and collaborate with community structures and relevant stakeholders to promote and facilitate universal access and uptake of quality community healthcare services among self-employed, associations and Christian Churches/groups in LGAs across the Nigerian State
• Environmental Resource Management: Objective is to promote green practices towards the protection and sustainability of the earth environment while mitigating the impact of disaster in all human society.
• Entrepreneurship development: Program Objective is to empower beneficiaries with culture sensitive and economical viable business based enterprise through skill acquisition apprenticeship, equipment/tools acquisition and entrepreneurship development coaching for self-employment.
• Capacity Development: Program Objective is to build/strengthen capacities of social entrepreneur’s such as NGOs, Health practitioners & managers, allied workers from the environmental sector to those of Community care-givers and duty bearers on concepts, contents and competencies required for quality and sustainable sector based services while promote emerging innovation through research, knowledge-sharing, mentorship, conferences, and seminars, towards a knowledge based human society.
