About us

Respect Earth was born out of the elementary circles. These were initiated in 1984, based on the spiritual teachings of North American native elders. Wisdom teachings from all cultures - including our own - have been and are being integrated. The elemental circles are circles to which everyone is invited who makes an honest-hearted effort to live a meaningful life.
As a non-profit association for the protection of nature, the community and the environment, we do our part to ensure that we humans recognize our relationship and our connection with all living beings and act with corresponding responsibility. Our actions should contribute to more environmental protection and respect for the world around us from the individual level (e.g. consumption) to the global level (e.g. world climate policy).
Respect Earth is a small environmental association with big tasks. Our philosophical roots are in the relationship with each other and the great web of relationships of the earth that we are part of.

What we do:
• We focus our environmental work on promoting a spirit that recognizes the spiritual, spiritual, and material interconnectedness of all living beings. The environment becomes a shared world. Only such an attitude of mind will enable mankind to really and quickly come to a respectful and considerate treatment of the planet and all living beings. However, if we consider these only as resources to be exploited, we will further destroy the environment.
• Own actions: support of the annual global negotiations for the world climate (climate conferences) and the diversity of life (biodiversity conferences)
• Participate in campaigns by large environmental protection organizations such as the BUND.
• Explore, develop and test a way of thinking and living with respect for the earth and other living beings
• Educational work on treating nature and the earth with respect
• Share and promote respectful consumption

Actions:
• On the Peace Path - Get on the path for peace in the world!: Hike on the former border: remembering the gift of our freedom, rule of law, lots of nature, good conversations, meditative walking, vigorous walking, exhausted walking, happy walking, "struggling" walking, healing walking, walking together, walking peacefully.
• Earth Day: On this day we collect rubbish together.
• Awareness Weekend: At Awareness Weekends, our Respect Earth Circle deepens its community work. We want to reconnect with Mother Earth, the elements and our ancestors. Here we use the sweat lodge ceremonies (Inipi), the prayer songs and the cultivation of the communication culture by means of a stick circle, which were brought to us by the Lakota elder Wallace Black Elk and passed on by the elementary circles over the last 30 years .
• Respect Earth Camp: Together we devote ourselves to being natural and simple. It is important to us that families, couples and individuals feel comfortable and welcome - whether old or young, man, woman, mother, father, child, teenager and everyone else. We want to enable a strong and inspiring community experience with time to arrive, pause, recover, connect, search, find, share and inspire.
