Principles of Engagement

• To enable the participation, engagement and inclusion of the most vulnerable and marginalized people in their communities;
• To address issues of stigmatization and marginalization among the target groups and among the wider community;
• To meet the needs of the vulnerable and most marginalized through effective community-based service-delivery and social protection mechanisms;
• To develop community networks to provide care and support for the vulnerable and most marginalized;
• To strengthen capacity and share learning with target groups and partners

Focus areas:
• Education: The major identified issues of focus will include Girl child education, Early marriages and Early pregnancies and Infrastructures e.g. classrooms, teachers houses, desks, toilets books etc. GGO will advocate the local government to allocate more resources to solve infrastructure problems in education while community members are thinking on how they can collaborate for building vocational trainings in their areas.

GGO will work in collaboration with other development partners to make sure that there is rehabilitation center where drug abusers, sex workers may get different knowledge (Vocational) for their living.
• Human Rights, Women Empowerment and other Marginalized Empowerment: The identified priority issues include less priority to girl child education, early marriages and early pregnancies, inability to participate in decision making for women and other marginalized groups. Insubordination of women, Violence against women, Right to inheritance/ ownership of properties/land, Patriarchy system/customary practices Participation of women in decision making both at family and community level. GGO will capacitate women, children, youths and people with disabilities and the community in general through training, dialogues; exposure visits so that they may have knowledge on the better use of women knowledge for development.
• Organization Development: The priority issues identified are Lack of organization building for office, lack of office transport for monitoring and evaluation movements, lack of new technologies in dealing with community, monitoring and evaluation of organization and community projects, Project planning and management.
