Qui sommes-nous

Founded in 2019, our Berlin-based association Zaki - Education and Culture association helps to give new citizens from Afghanistan, the Arabic-speaking cultural area and people from Ukraine access to education and to the job market in Germany.
The name Zaki has its origins in Arabic and in today's Persian language means “the bright, witty, clever one”. That's why we start: with political education, support in official situations, social education, building up linguistic skills and research into personal futures.

Our goal: Arrive safely.
For us, it's about social participation, about everyone being empowered to set self-determined goals, to raise their own potential, and to realize their dreams. We work for people with refugee experiences who are looking for a new start and, often, a first chance in their lives.
