About us

Comfort Ekwo Able Mind Initiative {CEAMI) is a non-governmental organization with the aim of supporting and promoting the interests of young people and people with disabilities( PWDs).

What we do
• In this election cycle, CEAMI has been running a project #WECARE with the grant from GovoteNg Co-creation Hub Nigeria (CcHUB) to encourage young people and community of people with disabilities to collect their PVC and come out to vote on election day.
• CEAMI has launched a GoVote campaign for participation of People with disabilities in Nigeria’s elections. CEAMI noted that the project was aimed at increasing the participation of young people in the electoral process by ensuring that every registered eligible young person collects the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) and proceeds to vote on the election day.
• We are organizing a program on menstrual health and hygiene for Pre: teenage and Teenage school Girls. Menstrual health hygiene, MHH is crucial to women and girls but is given less attention, most of our parents, family members, and caregivers have shied away from talking about MHH Due to some social-cultural beliefs that have made a lot of women and girls vulnerable to early pregnancy, RTI, UTI, And other mental health challenges. en having better knowledge regarding menstrual hygiene and safe practices are less vulnerable to RTI and its consequences. Therefore, increased knowledge about menstruation right from childhood may escalate safe practices and may help in mitigating the suffering of millions of women.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
