Über uns
Nyali Music School & Centre is laying musical foundation to the underprivileged kids in Mombasa and many lives are being transformed through this program. The School works closely with neighboring children´s centers located at the Bombolulu slums.
Nyali Music School & Centre offers music tuition to both privileged and underprivileged children & youth from all back grounds. We are an exam center for the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) hence we register students, prepare and host the exams at our center.
Our vision is to develop and enhance the existing and discovery of musical talents in the youth and children by making musical experience available to the wider community through its teaching programs, concerts, recitals and workshops. The realization that there was a demand for instruction in music, coupled with the fact that there was a limited number of institutions offering training in music led to the founding of Nyali Music School & Center.
Teaching is a challenge and teaching music is no exception. The school has offered it few instruments to be used to make this project a reality. Many of the children reached by this program have experienced extreme poverty, violence in their homes and go to locals schools located in the slums. The age ranges from 4 years to 17 years.
Our objectives:
Giving the Gift Of Music to children is our biggest ambition. We have set out the following objectives to help us achieve this ambition:
• To provide music learning opportunities for the under privileged children.
• To provide an avenue for kids where they can express and or show their musical skills.
• To network with organizations and music colleges having similar objectives
• To impart skills that the underprivileged kids can use as a source of income or vocation.
Our Mission.
Our mission is to provide the children and the youth with an avenue to nurture their musical talent and at the same time tapping their artistic skills in a holistic manner. Our guiding philosophy is to make the world a better place through music.
We aim to do this by increasing access to music within communities and spread music to our youth, allowing them opportunities not otherwise afforded to them. Our goal is to facilitate the gift of music-making to every individual life that is part of Nyali Music School & Centre.
Programs.
Nyali music School & Centre have different Music programs catering for children and adults of all ages. Our training lessons are fun based and content rich. We strive to enrich the learners' music learning experience. We make learning music an enjoyable experience. We offer Music lessons and practices on: Saxophone, Violin, Grand Piano, Drums, Guitar, Trumpet, Clarinet, Flute, Voice Training.
For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Also we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
