About us

KOLKATA GREEN PLANET ORGANISATION (KGPO) is a State level registered NGO, which was started in the year 2009. The Organisation has played a particular and important role in raising environmental concern and conservation of biodiversity. Which also a partner of United ‘Nations Decade On Biodiversity - 2011-20’

The Organisation was formed after surveys conducted by a group of our volunteers identified problems were increasing cases of killing snake, enormous use of chemical pesticides. Lack of awareness on environment and biodiversity, as well as total destruction of biodiversity in the rural areas of West Bengal in India.

On the basis of our survey, the organisation has taken a pledge to organise and mobilise all sectors of our societies.

Activities:
• Forest & Environment Conservation.
• To protect biodiversity through mass awareness
• Conservation of snake and protect snake bite victims.

Swapan Kumar Ghosh is the Chief Functionary of KOLKATA GREEN PLANET ORGANISATION (KGPO).

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
