Miracle Foundation India is a fully licensed Section 25 organization that empowers children without parents to reach their full potential.
Helping people help themselves is the most sustainable way to affect real change. That's why we focus on strengthening existing institutions and giving purposeful employment to local people in need of work. Together with our donors, we transform orphanages into homes, train displaced women to become cherished mothers and fund scholarships for education.
Our approach empowers donors, caregivers and children. It's transforming. It's measurable. It's proven.
And it works miracles.
Our method is straightforward, replicable and proven. We help struggling orphanages with a lot of heart, but not enough resources feed, clothe, nourish and educate orphaned children who have no one else.
We combine passion of the heart with sustainable practices of the head. We don’t just fund an institution and move on, we closely monitor and mentor every home — and every orphan — in our program. Inspired by the 1989 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, we created the Miracle Foundation 12 Rights of the Child, focusing specifically on the rights of orphaned children. Honed over many years, our method measures progress and replicates success.
Ensuring these rights are met is at the heart of everything we do.
We help local orphanages help themselves by providing incremental funding to cover gaps in the quality of care. This involves working hand-in-hand with the orphanages during an incubation phase to provide paired funding, training and capacity building.
We’re donor centric and work toward a common goal of providing a loving home, a quality education and a promising future to each and every orphan. Miracle Foundation India empowers generous donors to look out for India's orphans. Because when you bring together those who have, with those who have not — miracles happen.
Our Strategy:
• Proven, Sustainable Model: The Miracle Foundation Model is a proven three-phase method. We work hand-in-hand with local orphanages to close funding gaps, and provide training and capacity building. Then we measure progress based on the established 12 Rights of the Child. Once an orphanage maintains 90%+ goal achievement, they become a Miracle Foundation partner and can count on ongoing support. This approach is proven, sustainable, corruption proof and fully replicable.
• Local Empowerment: As the saying goes, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Instead of "giving fish" to help the orphans short term, we teach existing orphanages how to become high-performance, high-functioning homes. And we give local single women and widows a new purpose and an important role. By protecting, teaching and caring for local women, they can protect, teach and care for orphans. This is a lifetime solution. And it´s a win-win for all.
• Focus on Education: Education liberates. Each orphan in our care is given a quality education through the 12th grade, with the opportunity for college scholarships or vocational training after that. Our goal is to have each child become a healthy, happy, income-producing person—and break the cycle of poverty.
