Online since February 2002, with meanwhile 60,000 clicks and more per month ... www.gegen-missbrauch.de is the name of our project, which went public in the form of a website to break the silence about sexual violence against children and adolescents.

Against Abuse is an association founded in 2003 for victims, partners and opponents of child sexual abuse.

Against Abuse operates nationwide and campaigns against child sexual abuse. Not only do we want to be a platform for those affected or survivors of child sexual abuse, we also want to provide active help. Specifically, we try, based on our experience, to provide active and rapid help and support in areas such as:
• Problems with health insurance
• Fight through the office jungle
• Brokering for on-site help
• Accompanying local victims (eg to counseling centres, doctors, police, authorities, etc.)
• fast, individual, uncomplicated help for those affected (eg assumption of therapy costs)

In addition, it has set itself the goal of educating people to do preventive work and give people a chance to actively engage in tackling child sexual abuse. Educational, prevention, awareness-raising events: parents' evenings and training for teachers and educators.
For too long, the topic of child sexual abuse has been taboo in our society.

Projects:
• TV and cinema ad: In 2008, the ad was filmed in Darmstadt and since then it has been broadcast on some TV channels and in 2015 it received the Gingko Award.
• Consequences - the film (DVD): The "non-profit project" in the form of interviews provides a glimpse into the thoughts and feelings of individual people.
• Inclusion against abuse: self-help for victims and others affected: A help pool from “Against Abuse” for all - barrier-free - in easy language - low threshold.
• The media box: a "box" with various media on abuse. The media box is available for loan.
• Hand in hand - the accompanying project: support for those affected in the form of accompaniment to doctors, offices, etc.
• The postcard project: breaking silence anonymously. The association has initiated a touring exhibition throughout Germany with postcards designed by those concerned.
