Sobre nosotros

AGLM's primary mission is to reach out to the disadvantaged children in the slums of Kampala, Uganda and help the families to have better life now and a constructive future through initiating community sustainable projects and programs, aimed at uplifting the standard of life of the rural communities through:

- child sponsorship for disadvantaged children,
- widows and women empowerment program,
- community development,
- child feeding program,
- primary health care programs,
- HIV/AIDS care and counselling,
- agricultural production,
- sports program,
- music and drums program,
- child care and protection.

First of all AGLM tends to look into the nutritional, medical and educational needs of the child, as required. At the same time, works with the family, teaching parents or guardians skills, that can raise their incomes and help them become self-sufficient. And it does this according to the need throughout an entire area or village.

The organization was formed to respond to the increasingly needs of the AIDS orphans (children whose parents have died of HIV/AIDS) and civil wars in the country Uganda. It realized the children's plight needed an urgent attention and it could not just stand aloof and pity or sympathize with them, but must be helped in attaining their full human dignity.

For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Further we can deliver a lecture and establish new contacts in the field of our work. We will be able to host and welcome visitors and volunteers to our country.
