About us

AID Child is a nonprofit organization born to cater for the disadvantaged and most vulnerable children of most slums of Kampala city.

Because most children are abused in the slums, AID Child carries out counselling both for the child and the family.

AID Child offers literacy and numeracy education. There is a two hour class every day for the children, who do not attend school, which helps them learn how to read and write. In the future, if AID Child gets sponsors, the organization wants to sponsor children in formal education because so many are at home and do not attend school.

AID Child organizes workshops on child abuse, child labour, and behavioural change, HIV/AIDS education, as well as programs on drug and substance abuse.

For other net participants we can offer expert guidance through trained staff and establish new contacts in the fields of our work.
