Über uns

The Greenfields 2000 International is a non-profit organization which was founded by Joe Marshall Ifediorah in 1999. The organization´s main mission is to eradicate the incidences of hunger, poverty, disease and youth unemployment in rural and urban areas of Nigeria/Africa.

It does so by fostering the development of agriculture and agribusiness as a means and avenue of tackling the above mentioned problems, whilst at the same protecting the crucial ecological services performed by the eco-systems.

The organization was to achieve these objectives through the organization and hosting of training workshops for small holding farmers especially women, the unemployed youths and pensioners, as well as through public-private sector partnership in trying to tackle the problems of hunger, poverty, disease and unemployment and their attendant problems in Nigeria/Africa.

The Greenfields also establish market-oriented farms in collaboration with the farming communities and poor rural farmers and developing new markets for agricultural produce which means increased income for the poor farmers and improved living standard for rural population.

Our other include empowerment for the army of young unemployed, who roam the streets in search of non-existent jobs through training and capacity building in poverty reduction strategies and entrepreneurial skills for small/medium enterprises start-ups. This is with a view of policing their involvement in violent social crimes in the Nigeria society.

Current project: The Faces of Poverty in Nigeria: A radio/TV programm.

For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Further we deliver a lecture, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work. We are open to collaboration and partnership with other organizations towards the achievement of these other objectives and projects that impact positively on the poor and the needy and especially children and women.
