About us
One Touch International (OTI) is a christian non profit Organization, member of CMM World; and have an initiative that aims to impact the lives of persons living with physical disabilities by finding practical ways to offer them the hope and dignity they deserve.
One Touch International exists to socially advocate for the rights and dignity of people living with physical disabilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We do this by partnering with disadvantaged
persons with physical disabilities and ensuring that their essential needs such as clothing, food, shelter, education and mobility equipment are provided for and their place in the body of Christ is included.
We also aim to bridge the gap between the able-bodied society and people living with disabilities by providing information sessions that educate these two groups on how to unite and create a society that meets the rights of all people regardless of physical abilities or lack thereof.
Our Vision
A World where every person with a disability finds Love,Hope, dignity, and their place in the Body of Christ.
Values:
-Honor God in everything we do
-Build relationships based on trust and respect
-Maintain integrity and excellence in programs and services
-Practice responsible stewardship
What we do
• Advocacy: Promote and advocate for the recognition of the needs and rights of women, youth and children with physical disabilities
Proverbs 31:8-9
• Education: Educate people with physical disabilities to fight against the physical and psycho-social barriers which prevent their full integration into the community.
2 Timothy 2:15
• Community Outreach: Assist people with physical disabilities (Men, Women, and Children) with their first need like wheel chair, crutches, food, clothes etc and sharing the word of God to them.
Romans 12:13
Projects:
• Menstrual Hygiene Day: The purpose of this particular project is to support menstrual hygiene among girls living with disability. As aforementioned, girls with disabilities are perceived as asexual and their reproductive rights are ignored. Moreover, this is biological that should be given as much attention as sexual reproduction in general. To help them experience their menstrual cycle with dignity, girls will be given free sanitary menstruation clothing. A day like Menstrual Hygiene Day is a reminder to many of us that more is still to be done to assist those who are marginalized.
