Über uns
Jagran Jan Vikas Samiti (JJVS) is a non-governmental organization that focuses on the socio-economic improvements of the rural and tribal communities in Rajasthan, India.
“Jagran Jan Vikas Samiti” means an association dedicated to public awareness and self-development through cooperative efforts. JJVS was established in 1985.
Our Mission:
JJVS committed to strengthen the village community through the facilitating local resource based knowledge system to improve the lives of the less fortunate in society and to create a community organisation for advocate local issues and problems.
Objectives of JJVS are:
• Supporting appropriate rural development and agriculture-based industries
• Creating a clearinghouse of local solutions to local problems
• Increasing awareness of health and education opportunities
• Improving the effectiveness of government plans and programs
• Conserving the environment and natural resources
• Organizing the community for coordinated campaigns
JJVS works to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the less fortunate communities through its two main programs:
• Traditional System of Medicine: It is holistic in nature; emphasis on health as a normative condition; integration of lifestyle based on local culture and ecosystem; Non-invasive healing and hygiene practices; inherited traditional knowledge through generations to generation or Guru – Shishya parampara (teacher – disciple traditions).
• Community Development: JJVS support through different interventions or implement development projects by use local technology, skills, knowledge for sustainable development of community. Community Development Initiatives like Water Management and Drought Relief Education; Women Development Programme; Microfinance Initiative; Self Help Groups; Agricultural and Livestock Development, etc.
Ganesh Purohit is the Founder and Director of Jagran Jan Vikas Samiti (JJVS).
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
