Über uns
Berkeley Partners for Parks (BPFP), established in 1994, is a citywide nonprofit organization working for citizen support of parks, public recreation, open space, paths, greenways, community gardens, and environmental restoration in Berkeley, California.
BPFP Mission Statement
Berkeley Partners for Parks builds vibrant, healthy, ecologically sound communities by providing the infrastructure that volunteer groups need in order to improve the beauty and usefulness of public space and recreation in and around Berkeley, California
Our work
We help citizens form new groups, help those groups find needed financial and volunteer resources, provide voices of experience and help with publicity, and serve as a nonprofit fiscal sponsor, providing bookkeeping, tax filing, insurance, and the ability to receive tax-free donations and grants.
BPFP Partner Groups: Partner groups bring together concerned neighbors and park users who want to take responsibility for improving specific parks, community gardens, or public landscaping. Working in partnership with City staff when appropriate, citizen volunteers participate in a wide range of activities, from weeding, cleaning, and helping with ongoing maintenance to generating community participation in planning and implementing new park projects.
John Steere is the President of Berkeley Partners for Parks (BPFP).
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
