Über uns
Matalison Welfare Foundation (MWF) was founded on 23/02/22013 with the mandate to promote the human rights of the disabled, women/girls and youths, care, support and empower them and the under-served, marginalized, neglected etc for self-sufficiency and establishment.
Mission:
Through education, empowerment, advocacy, integration, rehabilitation, conservation, and poverty alleviation, we intend to make man realize the following needs:
• To care for the total man.
• To enhance the inherent but silenced self worth in members of each women, disabled vulnerable group.
• To identify their peculiar snares and device exit route from them.
• To work with organizations, less privileged, community population in eradicating poverty, ensuring peace building and conflict resolution; democratic practices and good governance from a human-right
This project will address poverty, illiteracy and financial dependability. This project is designed to train 200 disabled youths in Kano state Nigeria on how to increase their employability, develop a specific vocational skill and create a safe, legal business opportunities for themselves. These skills with the supportive environment provided by Matalison will offer the sense of autonomy and self-worth that disabled youths desperately seek, provide a foundation for academic excellence and future leadership. The project provides disabled youths with tools to complete their education, find jobs that will lead to lifetime careers and take advantage of opportunities to pursue their business ventures.
Our work
• Each participant will go through an intake which include s assessment interview on personal information, disability status, and set forth a twelve-month goal setting plan. The participant will be referred to the following programs:
• Educational support- Participant who has no basic education will be referred to educational resources that will assist them in obtaining school certificate or basic skill. This will prepare them with the foundational skills and knowledge for employment readiness, vocational and entrepreneurship training.
• Vocational skills: Participants are screened to determine the types of skills development programs they want.
• Job readiness workshop: A soft skills training on professionalism, interview technique, job search etc for employment readiness.
• Entrepreneurship training: This twelve weeks training includes market research/business selection, tracking cost and revenue, marketing and advertisement, business plan creation etc.
Matthias Ejeh is the C.E.O / Director of the Matalison Welfare Foundation (MWF).
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
