Über uns
SportsWorks International Ngo was founded in March 2005 and is a US based faith-based sports and education nonprofit that serves children in need and at-risk youth. SportsWorks International Ngo is also registered as a Canadian not-for-profit organization
SportsWorks is on a mission to help put children on the path of hope and opportunity.
SportsWorks uses a three-step process to address the negative impact poverty poses on children:
• Sharing the gospel, the love of God, and offering Bible studies
• Providing sports programs that promote exercise and healthy eating
• Providing educational support, such as tutoring and mentoring
We welcome children of all backgrounds and work with low-income families to provide children with scholarships and affordable access to our basketball, tennis, flag football, and soccer programs. We also offer nutritional counseling and educational resources such as tutoring, mentoring, homework assistance, and a financial literacy curriculum.
Our programs: SportsWorks provides affordable programs designed to keep kids active, healthy, self-confident, and on the road to academic success.
• Athletics: Provide athletic training to children so that they will be healthy - both mentally and physically - and can perform at their highest level, reaching their full potential in life
• Principles and Values: We believe in the veracity and truth contained in the Bible and teach biblical principles, values, and morals to the children who attend our programs. Children learn life lessons such as contentment, patience, and financial responsibility.
• International Ministry: We provide sporting good equipment to children in impoverished communities all over the world. Our global footprint currently reaches Africa and South Asia, and we are actively expanding to other locations.
• Nutrition: Through our programs, we give children access to healthy refreshments and teach them the importance of a balanced diet. We are also licensed by the Cooper Institute to measure children's levels of fitness and help them maintain good overall health.
• Educational Support: We work with First Book, local universities, and established volunteer outlets to provide books and educational resources, such as tutors and mentors, so children have the best chance to achieve academically.
