Über uns
Community Development Base (CDB) is a registered community based organization working within Arusha city. It focuses on child care and development, environment, women development and youth entrepreneurship.
CDB is committed to protect children from harm and ensuring children’s right to protection under Article 19 of the UNCRC is fully realized.
We take seriously our responsibility to promote child safe practices and protect children from harm, abuse, neglect and exploitation in any form.
In addition, we take positive action to prevent those who abuse children from becoming involved with CDB and take stringent measures against any CDB Staff, CDB Associates, CDB Visitors or CDB Managers who abuse a child.
Project:
Great Hope School: CDB operates this daycare-center. The center serves children which aged 2-4; we provide daycare and basic education to disadvantage children who may be difficult to acquire this service from money oriented daycare centers and primary schools. The center is located at Mlimani Street, Muriet ward in Arusha region (at common area known as Morombo) Northern Tanzania. These children engage in studying activities, which give them an opportunity to attain specific knowledge, and skills, which can enhance their creativities and thinking capacity.
Our center influences the knowledge in different subjects include Mathematics, English, Swahili, Science, and Arts, we believe that these are the basics learning that are relevant and applicable to their daily life and values for their further studies, therefore we create an opportunity for these children to join further learning.
The center started in 2016 with three children under very challenging environment; it got its full registration from United Republic of Tanzania in 2018. Our goal is to have a great center which may accommodate many children from daycare, primary and secondary school.
Our organization provides room for volunteers from any place to share their time and resources in helping our children and community which we serve
