UNNAYAN PROCHESTA (UP) is a voluntary development Organization established in 1996 working for the development of the poor. UNNAYAN PROCHESTA means development endeavor – a society where all folks of the human being are living together to lead a sustainable peaceful life. UP does not believe on traditional development but believe on multidimensional development efforts. It is the people who could change their livelihood pattern, but they need the moral support.

Mission
To implement Sustainable development action programs for the disadvantage community people of the society specially the women and children in terms of basic needs (education, housing, clothing, health and nutrition) through awareness raising, training, providing technology, counseling and income generating activities.

Vision
People live in the society peacefully in a sustainable manner with special emphasis on environment and gender.

Objectives:
• To uplift the socio-economic conditions of the underprivileged community.
• Enhancing environment friendly income generating activities.
• Increasing capacity of the community people on DRR and climate change adaptation.
• To building a resilience community
• To create employment opportunities through traditional and non-traditional IGA
• To provide extension educational opportunities to adult and children
• To encourage savings and support credit investment programs
• To legal aid and legal literacy support to the victims including women and child trafficking
• To ensure primary health care
• To establish gender equity in the society
• To respond to disasters with relief/ rehabilitation activities
• To conservation of bio-diversity
• To eradicate poverty
• To establish sharecroppers rights in the society

Projects and programmes:
• Ultra Poor Programme (UPP) – Ujjibito: Soft micro credit; Disaster management loan; Technical Support; Skill development Training; Health Service; IGA Mapping; Social awareness
• Programmed Initiatives for Monga Eradication (PRIME): Soft micro credit; Disaster management loan; Technical Support; Skill development Training; Health Service; IGA Mapping; Social awareness; Cash for work
• Climate Resilient Community Development Project (CRCDP): To improve the salinity resilience of community through adaptation knowledge, access to WASH, sustainable farm production and alternative livelihoods.
• Agriculture Unit: Technology extension program by agriculture unit under Fisheries and Livestock unit at Tala upazila in Satkhira district to help and involve income generating activities of south-west sea-based ultra-poor family and remove poverty to increase their knowledge, skill development through using sustainable technologies.
• Micro Finance Programmes

For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Also we can procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
Being a humanitarian organization it is Unnayan Prochesta’s highest priority to support the underprivileged communities in the face of any emergency. Unnayan Prochesta is one of the organizations able to effectively respond to any urgent crisis with all the needed support such as logistics,financial aid, capacity building, Knowledge sharing, awareness-raising, etc. We hope we will continue to support the marginalized people, underprivileged communities, as well as a humanitarian crisis.
