Über uns
The Joint Global Development Network Uganda (JOGD-NET), founded in 2014, is a non profit making organization based in Alebtong District, Uganda.
We have a vision of enhancing sustainable results of every positive development so as to improve societies' standards of living.
We have a mission of expressing commitment in health gap, protection of human being through rights, support to bridge development, monitor existing development and advice stakeholders on the sustainable measures on behalf of community, assistance and responding to emergency relief.

Aims and objectives:
• To identify the number of vulnerable children, women and youth in the community and compile appropriate data regarding them: To promote and protect the rights of all vulnerable children through advocacy, community sensitization and awareness raising activities.
• To provide sponsorship to the disadvantaged school going age youth at different levels of education.
• To provide primary prevention and offer care treatment and support services to persons living with HIV/AIDS and their families.
• To become a podium for the promotion of activities geared at addressing the unmet needs of maternal and child health; reproductive health rights including sexual gender based violence.
• To provide and link communities to access clean water, support health promotion education agenda and good hygiene practices.
• To carry out activities geared towards economic recovery and sustainable livelihood to communities; To engage in activities that empowers communities and individuals to ensure environmental sustainability.
• To contribute to the prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases; To offer epidemic and disaster response to the affected population
• To promote and engage in peaceful means of conflict resolution through sensitization and awareness campaign.
• To promote social cohesion through human/social, economic, cultural and political development methodologies.
• To provide professional support through monitoring the existing development and strengthening its' sustainable results for longer impact; Strengthening institutions and civil society organizations in development agenda.
Our work
• JOGD-NET was started with a wider program to empower orphans and other vulnerable children, youth, women, persons living with HIV/AIDS (PHAs) in the post conflict region of northern Uganda, through life skills training, livelihood support, provision of educational opportunities, rehabilitation and post-conflict reconstruction support to victims of violent conflict HIV/AIDS. Given time and resources; Joint Global Development Network-Uganda hopes to expand countrywide and globally.
• Currently the organization intends to conduct medical camps in the inevitable communities to bring health services to nearer since most of them are living 5Kms away from the health facilities.
Emmy Otwii is the Program Coordinator at the Joint Global Development Network Uganda (JOGD-NET).
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
