Über uns

Omuto Foundation, (formerly known as One 4 Another children's charity), is a youth led non profit organization (Reg. No. 026, DNMC) started in 2019, aiming to have a big impact on the lives of the orphaned and rural poor children; as we devise ways to fight child poverty, promote young talents, uphold children rights and bring about sustainability in Mpigi, Uganda.

Our Mission
We fight child poverty by supporting education, sustainability, basic care and talent development of orphaned and rural poor children in Uganda

Our focus:
Best interests of children: We are focused on promoting the best interests of children. Though we work with local leaders, parents and the general community, our focus is on how we are helping a child navigate his/her childhood and grow into a responsible person with a promising future; how is he/she breaking free from the bondage of child poverty and enjoying his/her childhood.

Our work
• Fight Child Poverty Campaign: Child Poverty goes beyond a child lacking what he/she wants. It becomes a state of life, a limitation of progress. Uganda is becoming one of the most impoverished countries, which is significantly affecting the children. The life-threatening impacts children in Uganda face every day include malnutrition, health assistance deprivation, access to education, shelter deprivation and exposure to crime.
• Rural Talented Kidz (R.T.K.): R.T.K. is a talent development project that looks for young talents from the rural areas and gives them a platform to train and perform, as well as promote them to the wider world. R.T.K includes children that sing, dance and those that act at different levels. Its a diverse group of talented children, ages ranging from 5-18.
• Home Gardens: The home gardening project teaches children and their parents the importance of good nutrition and eating a balanced diet and how they can maximize food production on a small space while conserving the environment. Objectives of the Project are to conserve the environment by teaching children and their parents how to reuse plastic waste to grow food especially vegetables; to devise ways, in consultation with the local population on how to decrease on the rates of malnutrition of children in Kammengo brought about by poor eating and high costs of living in the community and to teach the community alternative ways of growing food and vegetables in a small area while maximizing yield and conserving the environment.
• Child Super Hero: A child superhero is a role model who typically uses his or her 'powers' to help the children's world become a better place, or is dedicated to protecting the children, and fighting child abuse.
