Über uns
Voiceless Orphan Taskforce Uganda (VOTU) is a registered non profit organization supporting orphans, vulnerable women and children in Uganda. The organization was established in 2004 by passionate community members who came together to rescue orphans and vulnerable women victimized by the then prevailing HIV pandemic.
We work towards ensuring a life free from inequality and discrimination for every woman and vulnerable child through our programs which include, education support for the underprivileged, women empowerment programs / livelihood improvement programs, water, sanitation and hygiene programs to mention but a few.

Strategic Goals
• Inclusive Education: Increasing the number of orphans and vulnerable children enrolling and attaining quality education at primary , secondary and tertiary levels.
• Creating A Healthy Environment for OVCs: Improving access to clean water and medical services. Protecting children from disease as we enforce their right to life, survival and development
• Child Protection & Participation: Reducing the number of cases of all forms of violence (sexual, physical & emotional) against orphans and vulnerable children in our target rural areas.
Objectives
• Child Support: To meet the physical, mental and emotional needs of OVCs by providing them with love, care, food, education, guidance and all basics of life.
• Health: To improve the health and well being of marginalized women and children
• Human Rights: To promote children’s rights as we initiate the community to advocate for the support of poor children
• Poverty Alleviation: To create opportunities for the vulnerable by increasing access to income generating activities, finance, employment and education
