Our vision is to establish long term community-based homes for orphaned, abandoned, and neglected children and to provide education, vocational skills, and medical care.

Programmes:
• Micro Loan Program: Microloan members are given loans at a very low-interest rate and are expected to pay back monthly within the year until their loan is cleared. There are microloans by BKE, Rotary club, and Heaven’s Family. MicroLoan meetings are held at the Bright Kids Uganda offices every first Saturday of the month to discuss challenges and the way forward. Microloan seminars are held annually for different loan groups to equip them with the needed financial knowledge to help them manage their businesses. Participants are awarded certificates of attendance on the last day of the seminar.
• Community outreach: Bright Kids Uganda regularly steps up to help the needy and vulnerable in various communities. It reaches out to families with food items and other basic items to improve their standards of living. Currently, the community outreach program is active in Wakiso, Kampala, Iganga, Jinja, Gulu, and Lira District.
• Colostomy surgeries: Under the colostomy surgery project, we received 5 children from the Lango region in Lira District. They came with their parents for checkup and diet supplements to prepare them for their surgeries due in February 2020. Many children and one adult have benefited from the colostomy surgery project and are now living normal lives.
• Acid survivors: Bright Kids Uganda supports a group of Acid survivors from different communities. Some Acid Survivors are good at making crafts of baskets, shoes, necklaces, decorations, and earrings. The main support provided to the Acid survivors is in form of Microloans, which are provided at very low-interest rates to help boost their businesses and meet the cost of living.
