Über uns
The Kakani Center for Development of Community - KCDC is a registered non-political, not for profit, purely humanitarian, community relief, development, advocacy and survivors' organisation working in partnership with both local and international partners tackling poverty cases, responding to emergencies and disasters of any kind, promoting disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation (CCA), peace and justice and transforming conflict into opportunities for peace and development and human rights advocacy.
It was created in 1993 and dedicated to working with poor children, deprived families and vulnerable communities to overcome poverty and injustice,fighting against comercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) in adult entertainment sector (AES) and trafficking, risky migration and child labor elimination, end of modern slavery and gender based violence (GBVs) and caste discrimination.
KCDC serves all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. We are an agency of our Community Based Organisations (CBOs), 52 different - Women's Savings and Credit Groups (WSCGs) and Women Entreprener and Farmer Groups (WEFGs) and Private Voluntary Women's Organizations (PWVOs) and in Nuwakot and are mandated to work on relief, health, nutrition, agriculture, financial education, enterpreneurship, girls trafficking and comercial sexual explotation of children (CSEC) prevention, micro finance, drinking water, sanitation, agroforestry, food security, environment, climate change, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). KCDC is fighting against girls trafficking, CSEC, gender based violence (GBVs), modern slavery, racism, discrimination and poverty. KCDC is working on street children protection, help the children, and child education, sponsorship, risky migration prevention, end child labor, women empowerment, development and advocacy for free from hunger, poverty and free from modern slavery in Nepal.

Our strategy and goal
We work to fulfil the mission by:
• Empowering women and girls to become change agents in their own families and communities.
• Educating at-risk women and girls, families and communities.
• Ensuring a supportive environment for victims and their families.
Activities:
KCDC conducts special training for women and children to develop their self-defense skills and help them gain control over their own lives. We try to give special health education to illiterate women and children.
Programs activities of KCDC to end CSEC, trafficking, risky migration, child labor and modern slavery in its project communities;
• Flexible/modular curriculum and coaching classes/formal education/pre-vocational and vocational education
• Awareness, Advocacy and mass media, outreach program, sponsorship, School support/school safety and scholarships., child friendly schools and child friendly local governance and legal and social protection
• Health and emergency care, Case management/psychosocial approach and support
• Family and livelihood support, advocacy and awareness-raising
• Research including knowledge, attitudes, and practice (KAP) survey, rapid assessments, small scale studies and action research
• Formal school enrollment with or without school support
• Social mobilization, Prevention, protection, rescue, rehabilitation, reintegration, prosecution, capacity building, technical education, vocational training and job placement
• Promoting self-employment opportunities through savings and credit and engage in income generation activities
• Vocational Training/apprenticeships skill training to enhance their job oriented marketability, family support for children in the worst forms of child labor (WFCL) agro-forestry and livestock farming
• Training Parent Teacher Associations (PTA)/School Management Committees (SMC) and mobilization. Promoting self-employment opportunities through savings and credit and engage in income generating activities.
• Health and nutrition, health personnel capacity building, Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN)
• Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in schools and community
• Agriculture and livelihood program in poor community in vulnerable community
• Agroforestry and climate change adoption (CCA) in vulnerable community
• Disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change prevention
• Women and community people capacity building training
