Über uns

Iraqi Institution for Development (IID) is an independent, non-governmental, and non-profit institution established in 2003 by a number of youths from different Iraqi background. The institution located in Mosul and aims at affording training, preparing studies and consultations in human rights and civil peace building fields.

Mission
We strive to promote a culture of dialogue, cooperation and build sustainable partnerships with local and international entities to achieve our goals, and we promote gender equality and the right of marginalized groups in society.

Vision
A stable, non-violent Iraqi civil society built on democratic foundations thet respects human rights.

Goal
We aim to promote sustainable development in Iraq by achieving a balance between economic, social, and political dimensions while seeking to enhance community participation and empower local communities to stimulate innovation and social entrepreneurship.

Objectives:
• Enhancing human rights in the Iraqi society
• Spreading the culture of peace and tolerance
• Raising democracy and respecting other views
• Bridging the gaps among NGOs in IRAQ in order to share information and experiences to achieve their goals

Services:
• Youth Education and Training: We provide educational training and adult education programs to empower youth and develop their skills according to market needs, while offering educational & training programs for youth to empower and enhance their capabilities in various fields.
• Education: We work to ensure equal & free educational opportunities for all categories, available under all circumstances, and we review polocies and curriculum content to provide effectove education that encompasses relevant knowledge, skills & competencies.
• Peacebuilding and Human Rights Promotion:We aim to promote a culture of peace and human rights through awareness programs, advocacy initiatives, and improving public policies in line with international treaties and conventions.
• Vulnerable Groups Support: We provide humanitarian support and emergency assistance to the affected, displaced & vulnerable groups in society. They constitute 50% of our organization´s programs, especially those affected by conflicts and crises in Iraq.
• Empowering Youth Leaders: We select and support youth leaders to build their capacities and guide them toward social, developmental, and political work.
• Enhancing Community Participation: We strive to encourage active community participation in the political process and decision-making.
• Livelihood: We organize vocational training for youth to teach them electronic, industrial, artistic, and agricultural professions, enabling them to find sources of income and encouraging them towards stability.
• Health Support: We collect donations and support surgical operations for children from vulnerable families, integrating those who dropped out of school bach into education.

Ayad Salih is the Executive Director of Iraqi Institution for Development (IID).

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
