Greenfield Kids Foundation registered as Community Based Organisation under Rubanda District Local Government. Registered N0. RBD/CBO/004/2017. We are located in Hamurwa Town council Rubanda district southwestern Uganda, it’s about 12km from the town of Kabala to get here.
Greenfield kids Foundation is a charity involved in providing support to the needy children and orphans mainly of Rubanda district, southwestern Uganda. The foundation has put in place a Nursery and Primary School (the Greenfield Nursery and Primary School) with classes from preschool class up to primary seven. We are proud of all the students who sat for PLE 2018 exams, all passed well in Division 1 and 2, all students achieved good results that allow them to join secondary level of education.
Greenfield Kids Foundation was founded in 2009 by Akampurira Robert and the foundation is committed to improving the lives of children and offering them an education and a higher standard of living. We are currently helping 174 children; these children are between ages of 3 to 16 years old.
Projects and programmes:
• Greenfield Nursery and Primary School: Greenfield Kids Foundation is currently running Greenfield Nursery and Primary School as the main project. Greenfield Nursery and Primary School is located in Hamurwa town council Rubanda district southwestern Uganda. The school is for orphans and needy children that could never have the chance to get education. The teachers are all qualified Nursery and Primary Teachers. The school is working with the Ugandan Guidance of Nursery and Primary Schools in Uganda and is regularly checked by people from the ministry of education and sports.
• Food Program: we try to feed the children and staff twice a day if possible. It’s easier to learn and grow when your stomach is full and content. Food is fuel for your body. At the Greenfield school on a typical day we might serve a cup of porridge for breakfast and a plate of maize and groundnuts or beans. Also some families might donate rice or beans and that will get served as well. Some cases this is the only meal some children will see.
• Programs at Greenfield: There are many talents at the Greenfield school from singing, dancing, football, sports and more! We run a Sports Day where it’s a fun day to show off talents to parents, families, friends and members of the school boards. We serve food and drinks and offer awards to prize students and hard workers. This day is funded by donators and usually takes place every second year if possible.
• Sponsor a Child: You can sponsor a child with us or you can sponsor the school with any amount there are different ways of giving a general school sponsoring. The money will be used in the daily operation of the school. You can do the sponsoring as a one time or a recurring payment (monthly or quarterly.
Akampurira Robert is the Director and Founder of Greenfield Kids Foundation.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
