ABOUT JWAS
Janaki Women Awareness Society (JWAS) is a non-governmental and not for profit making civil society organization. It was established in 1993 A.D. (2050 B.S) in Dhanusha District. The organization was founded and is operated by a group of women social workers. It works to uplift the standard of living and empowerment of Marginalized Community, Women, Dalits, Youth, Janjatis, PWD, and Disaster Stricken & Conflict affected people of Nepal.

MISSION
Organize and empwer women and marginalized people for enjoying their rights and inspiring their engagement to achieve a prosperous society
GOAL
To promote economic, social, political and environmental development through rights-based, participatory and democratic process to eliminate social evils, illiteracy, ignorance, ill health, undemocratic norms, immorality, discriminatory practices, environmental degeneration, undemocratic norms and usages
OBJECTIVES
Ensuring the rights of women and marginalzied people
Promote rehabiliation for women, children and people with disabilities at risk and vulnerable
Promoting peace, harmony, democracy, and governance
Ending harmful gender and social norms against women, children and marginalized people
Research and advocacy for ensuring the rights of women, children, and marginalzied people
Livelihood promotion through income generation and capacity building
Safe migration and remittance management.
For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
