Über uns
Al Amal Institute offers a residential center providing care, training and community for adults with mental disabilities. Founded in 1959 by Mounira el Solh, in response to her having a child with special needs, it is one of the first centers of such kind in the region. Al Amal is not only a residential center, but a working community of people with each a role in community life. The institute aims to increase integration, empowerment, satisfaction and autonomy for people with special needs.
Al Amal Institute for the Disabled is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that supports the cause of people with special needs. Its residential center for the mentally disabled is located in Broummana, but its programs aim to improve the integration and autonomy of these people with special needs on a nationwide level.
As its programs work on integration and welfare, it tries to involve the community with its cause and as well host activities that promote sports and culture.
Al Amal Institute for the Disabled is an institute for the rehabilitation of people with special needs, and a work center where people with special needs produce products that are lethal for the basic life of human being and are distributed on refugees and people with needs all around Lebanon.
