SONITPUR DHATRI SEWA SAMITY (SDSS) is a Non-Profit Making Voluntary Organization established in 2007. SDSS is an NGO working in the fields of education, awareness programs and persons with disabilities. Since its inception the organization has undertaken various welfare activities for the upliftment and economic development of the backward and downtrodden people of Assam.

Its Vision: Empowered vibrant grassroots community becoming self reliant, self sufficient and participations in the truest form in democratic manner

Mission: Increase role and participation of grassroots poor in the society by strengthening capacity and coordinating their activities for growth and development

The objects for which the society is established

• To develop socio-economic condition of deprived sections of the society
• To work for health in general and child nutrition
• To motivate and mobilize the people for growth and development
• To promote and develop culture, literature and tourism

• To disseminate knowledge and impart institutional and non-institutional education, training and coaching
• To promote self-employment among the poor people
