Über uns

Chipembere Community Development Organization (CCDO) is a grassroots community organizatioformed in 2005 ,but registered in 2010.

It is a local nonprofit making organization created with an aim of
• promoting good health, sustainable social and economic development to marginalized or under privileged;
• to enhance well conserved environment;
• to work in climatic change resilience and food security; and
• to alleviate poverty and mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS and chronic illnesses through provision of educational, recreational and lifelong learning opportunities for orphans & vulnerable children and the youth

Activities:
• CCDO is planning to scale up TB/HIV activities to all T/A areas in Thyolo district.
• CCDOs strategy is to advocate for availability of TB/HIV health and medical personnel at community level, CCDO will target decision makers at district level.

Boniface Mbewe is the Programme Manager of the Chipembere Community Development Organization (CCDO).

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.

The overall goal of the project is to support 20000 affected and infected mothers, girls and children to achieve their full potential through economic empowerment by 2019 in Traditional Authorities Changata and Nsabwe,Thyolo District, Southern Region of Malawi. The positive effects include: 1. Reduced high risk vulnerability by 50% among 20000 women, girls and children in the area through addressing economic and social obstacles by 2019. 2. Improved quality of lives by 50% through the promotion of 15000 girls’ and 5000 women’s access to education, employment, nutrition and health services. 3. Prevented HIV Infection and Keeping Children, Adolescents and Young Women HIV Negative through imparting comprehensive HIV and AIDS knowledge to over 100,000 people by 2019. Therefore, the project targets on impacts of HIV/AIDS and preventive measures to avoid more HIV/AIDS impact in the community by empowering 20000 women and girls.
