Über uns

The DIY Solar technique allows recipients to construct low cost pv devices to power their radios, torches, etc. It can be used by both individuals and NGOs in developing countries, to provide local employment and for starting a small business.
The sample panels are sent to many poor countries. Its solar powers not only the LED, but any small radio using the crocodile leads into the set.

This technique is aimed at helping the majority of people in developing countries, who are without main services, for example electricity.
It does not supply assembled 'products', except as samples, with the client being supplied with components and assembly instructions. In this way a 1w panel can cost as little as !

LED Solar torches can be made, that last a lifetime with no dry cells!

The achievement of the DIY Solar technique is to turn sun into energy, cheap and simple.

Projects using the DIY Solar technique, are now in progress in many countries ranging from South America to Mongolia, where DIY Solar is to help camel herdsmen.

Most projects are in Africa, where its most interesting project is in the township of Kibera, Kenya. There members of a youth NGO are not only making but selling DIY panels to local shops and creating their own employment.

Another project now being studied is to solar-convert an electronic zapper, so it can be employed to kill mosquities all the time.

For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Further we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, deliver a lecture and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
