Über uns
Hasna Welfare and Development Organization (HW&DO), is an independent, non-governmental, non-profitable organization which is working since 2000 for the causes of education, environment, women empowerment, healthy activities for youth of the community (Grooming & utilizing the skill and talents of our young generation), rehabilitation of People with Disabilities and health services which is registered with the social welfare voluntary control and registration ordinance 1961, Government of Punjab, having the registration no DOSWWD & BM-RWP-066 dated October 15th, 2005.
Our mission
To strive for making inclusive society in which people have equal opportunity in every field of life.
Our objectives:
• To empower the marginalized and disadvantaged groups and strengthening efforts to build self reliance and to bring them to the mainstream of society.
• To promote the development of children, women, pwd’s and backward communities
• To promote their participation in education, healthcare and economic activities.
• To promote awareness and education for the target communities
• To contribute in youth development.
• To contribute in social entrepreneurship.
• To contribute in disaster risk reduction and respond emergencies.
• To contribute climate change and environmental issues.
• To contribute in human rights issues including right of women, children and persons with disabilities.
Our programs:
• Skill Development: Computer/Information Technology; Beautician/Skin & Hair Care; Fashion Designing/Dress Making
• Women Empowerment: We work to ensure that women have a real voice in all governance institutions, from the judiciary to the civil service, as well as in the private sector and civil society, so they can participate equally with men in public dialogue and decision-making and influence the decisions that will determine the future of their families and countries. We are also providing Vocational Training in order to develop their vocational skill so that they can become a healthy unit of society.
• Emergency Relief: Flood Relief in Pacistan; Covid-19; Earthquake
• Health: HW&DO is providing primary health care services to the needy women and children. Family planning services, participated in polio campaign/immunization activities.The organization is committed to facilitate the needy people in health for health care research, awareness, advocacy and service delivery actions to reduce child mortality, improve maternal health and struggle for combating HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases
• Environment: Hasna Welfare starts initiative and successfully completed many projects on environmental issues and awareness campaign. The poor sanitation, poor drinking water supply and disposal of untreated sewage and domestic wastes and untreated disposal of industrial effluents causing contamination, pollution and public health risks.
• Hasna Rehabilitation Centre for People with Disabilities: HWDO intends to create space and voice for persons with disabilities and the organizations working for them, and advocate the obstacles faced by them to key socio-political and economic stakeholders. We also aim to facilitate the planning and implementation of governance, management and operations programs and activities of our member organizations as well as expand their capacity development to this end.
