About us
The organisation "RANDI e.V." - Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe in Indien ( formerly “Partnership in one world: helping people to help themselves” ) has been in existence since 1986 and supports the Indian development aid organisation CARDS in Andhra Pradesh (southern India). The headquarters are in Sinsheim.
Donations go towards projects which are developed and carried out in India. Journeys to India and meeting Indian cultural groups lead to a reciprocal learning and exchange process.
CARDS is a Christian ecumenical development organisation in the coastal area of Guntur, founded by the Indian Dalits (known as “untouchables”) in 1979. It is targeted at the casteless, tribal members and those in the lowest class, who live in abysmal conditions and call themselves Dalits, meaning oppressed or downtrodden. CARDS focuses on education projects.
CARDS projects supported by our organisation:
• Colleges for Dalits and Adivasis
• BalaBata Tutoring Schools
• Girls Home - GIRL = Growing Involving Rehabilitation Learning
• Boxberg Home Health Centre
• School for former child labourers in the Child Rights Advocacy Centre (CRAC)
• Support for flood victims
