About us
OHDS-TOGO is an organisation based in Notse in Togo (West Africa). A group of volunteers founded it on 21.4.2010. They had decided to combine their efforts towards a common aim – cooperative campaigns against under-development and the encouragement of voluntary work. OHDS-TOGO is an organisation of young people whose goal is the improvement of the living conditions of the people, by means of a sustainable humanitarian and participatory development.
Our mission is to commit ourselves to improving the current situation, protecting the environment, tackling illiteracy, boosting the cutural and artistic heritage of Togo, combatting sexually transmitted diseases / AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis, and improving agriculture and cattle breeding.
In order to achieve these aims, OHDS-TOGO organises:
• youth camps
• small scale social projects, child sponsorships,
• deployment of volunteers for long or short periods in various fields,
• sociocultural and educational provisions
• provision of foreign language lessons (French and English). This is open to national and international volunteers.
Anselme K.X. Agboyibo is the President of the organisation OHDS-TOGO.
We can offer overnight accommodation to other net participants. We can give advice and provide information and contacts in the area of health, children, the environment and culture.
